Prince William County Community Services Board's Horticultural Therapy Program at Grayson Gardens
A full-time HT Program for individuals with serious mental illness and/or mental retardation, started in May 2000.
The primary site for the program is Grayson Gardens in Woodbridge, VA.
A professional landscape designer laid out this tract of land to be therapeutic in nature.   It incorporates areas of physical, personal, social and lifeline spaces within the five acres.
Bulb, vegetable, herb, perennial, butterfly, shade, wildflower and container gardens, as well as a greenhouse and potting shed are on the property.
The program has gained a reputation of being a viable therapeutic medium for its participants and it continues to grow and blossom.
